Responsible Gaming

This page sets out how to keep gambling under control and where to find independent help. It also explains, plainly, what this site can and cannot do about that control, since everything a reader actually plays for money happens elsewhere.

Decide the amount before you start

Set the sum you're willing to spend before you begin, not while you're playing. A figure chosen in advance is a decision made with a clear head; a figure chosen mid-session is usually a reaction to what's already happened.

Treat that amount as already spent the moment you commit it, in the same way you would treat the price of a ticket to a show. If it's gone the instant you hand it over, a losing run can't feel like money still waiting to be recovered.

Recognise chasing losses for what it is

Chasing a loss means raising the stake or continuing specifically to win back what's gone. It rarely works, because the outcome of the next bet has no relationship to the last one — it only extends the amount at risk.

Keeping gambling separate from borrowed money follows the same logic. Money that's owed elsewhere carries a deadline and a consequence that has nothing to do with the game, and mixing the two turns a leisure activity into a debt problem.

Take breaks and involve someone else early

A short break away from the screen breaks the rhythm that keeps a session going past the point you intended to stop. Stepping away for a few minutes costs nothing and gives you a chance to check whether you still want to continue.

If gambling stops feeling like entertainment — if it's causing worry, argument, or financial strain — it helps to tell someone else about it early, before the situation grows. A second person can see patterns that are hard to notice from inside them.

Find independent help from this page

Every page on this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gambling Therapy, and GamCare. Those links are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial — they carry no sponsored marking, are set to nofollow, and open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them.

The eighteen-and-over restriction appears throughout this build, including on the front page, and applies to everyone using this site.

Understand what this page cannot do

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can switch one of those controls on, check its status, or enforce it. Anyone wanting them needs to arrange them inside an account at the destination they've gone to.

Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it — any such check happens at the destination once a reader has left. Everything a reader can actually do with money starts only after that point: each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that moment the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown signs of risky play. What you see on this page is the same for every visitor.
